Nootka 1.1.4 released, learn classical score notation on Linux Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Debian, OpenSUSE, Arch Linux and Fedora
Nootka is an open source and cross-platform application that allows users to learn or teach classical score notation. It has been designed from the ground up to be used by guitarists and musicians who want a good music scoring application.
The program can also be used for ear training. It is translated into English, French, Polish, Russian, German and Czech languages, supports scordature, includes a level editor, an exam mode, automatic detection of played sounds, and several name-callings for musical notes.

Install Nootka 1.0.1 stable on Debian 7 "wheezy", Debian 6 "squeeze", Ubuntu 15.04 vivid Vervet, ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr (LTS), Ubuntu 13.10/13.04/12.04, Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna, Peppermint Five, Deepin 2014, LXLE 14.04, Linux Lite 2.0, Linux Lite 2.2 and other Ubuntu derivative systems, open a new Terminal window and bash (get it?) in the following commands:
