Download google-chrome-stable_40.0.2214.91-1_i386.deb for Debian, Ubuntu
from the Google repository.

Install the repository GPG key: 

# wget -q -O - https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add -

Add the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable main

Update the package index:
