Plex Media Server 0.9.11.7 released, Available for Linux Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.10, ubuntu 14.04, ubuntu 12.04, ubuntu 13.04 and older version, Fedora 18, fedora 19, fedora 20, fedora 21 and CentOS 
 
Plex Media Server is a powerful application that will help you to manage and stream media files stored on your computer to various mobile devices and smart TVs, across a local network or over the Internet.

The application can be downloaded for Chromcast, Roku, Google TV, and a supported Samsung Smart TV, as well as on Synology, Netgear, QNAP, unRAID, Drobo and ASUSTOR NAS (Network-attached storage) devices.

Getting started with Plex Media Server

On Linux, the application runs as a server/daemon, in the background. It automatically starts when the computer boots and can be administer through a web-based interface using a modern web browser, such as a Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

It supports transcoding of video and audio files, as well as several sources of online content, called Channels. It is simply the best media center application available for an open source operating system.

Download 32 bit :
wget -c https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server/0.9.11.7.803-87d0708/plexmediaserver_0.9.11.7.803-87d0708_i386.deb

Download 64 bit :
wget -c https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server/0.9.11.7.803-87d0708/plexmediaserver_0.9.11.7.803-87d0708_amd64.deb
Install via terminal :
sudo dpkg -i plexmediaserver_0.9.11.7.*.deb
In case “dpkg” indicates missing dependencies, complete the installation by executing the following command:
sudo apt-get install -f

Install Plex Media Server 0.9.11.7 on Fedora Derivative system


Install Plex Media Server 0.9.11.7 on Fedora 21, Fedora 20, Fedora 19, Fedora 18 and and other Fedora derivative systems, open a new Terminal window and bash (get it?) in the following commands:

Download 32 bit :
wget -c https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server/0.9.11.7.803-87d0708/plexmediaserver-0.9.11.7.803-87d0708.i386.rpm 
Download 64 bit :

Install via termial :
sudo yum install plexmediaserver-0.9.11.7.*.rpm

Install Plex Media Server 0.9.11.7 on CentOS Derivative system

Install Plex Media Server 0.9.11.7 on CentOS 6.5, CentOS 7 and and other centos derivative systems, open a new Terminal window and bash (get it?) in the following commands:

Download 32 bit :
wget -c https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server/0.9.11.7.803-87d0708/plexmediaserver-0.9.11.7.803-87d0708.i386.rpm
Download 64 bit :

Install via Terminal :
sudo yum install plexmediaserver-0.9.11.7.*.rpm
